Maybe, just maybe

Day by day as the Brexit farce unfolds, as mere citizens we can only sit back in wonder at the sheer levels of incompetence of our elected representatives as they drive us towards some form of political Armageddon. Their complete and utter failure to understand what their responsibility was, based on the result of the Brexit referendum, beggars belief. Collectively they have presented themselves as self-opinionated, self-serving and self-promoting failures, whose only allegiance is to their decrepit political parties. Who knows what awaits us, but if somehow we escape this absolute farce, maybe, just maybe, there’s a minuscule hope that they could learn that adversarial, party-centric politics is not the solution to anything: it’s the problem.
